This is what I call painful reality.

Italy has now found 12,462 cases and so far 2,313 death. Death rate is 18.5%
Iran has now found 9000 cases with 958 deaths. Death rate is 10.6%
Spain has now found 2222 cases with 528 deaths. Death rate is 23.7%
France has now found 2281 cases with 497 deaths. Death rate is 21.7%
Germany has now found 1908 cases with 343 deaths. Death rate is 17.9%

So far, Trump has been saying it is going to be less than 1% death rate and saying that it was high at 3.8% in China but many people in-the-know have stated that China has not been telling the truth about their death rate.

It is being seen that the death rate in many other developed countries is high with 20% being the norm.

In a country that stresses individual health care and not public health. In a country that has millions of uninsured, forces parents to send their kids to school sick because there is no child care and a huge portion of jobs don't provide sick days, in a country where a huge portion of the population couldn't afford a $400 car repair bill?

I fear you are correct.

My coworkers daughter was exposed, and she is under quarantine. It’s getting too close for comfort. We have a huge international company located in my area, and many of the workers went to a conference. It’s all traced back to that conference

I do apologize for the mistake I made in thinking new cases were deaths. I gave you the right link but I misread the information there.
 
My concern is the dumbasses who think they know more than everybody else or figure "It can't happen to me." How else do you explain the St. Louis father who KNEW his college daughter was "presumptive positive" and yet took her to her little sister's daddy-daughter dance? What a selfish, stupid so-and-so. :twisted:

And notice the high infection rates in all those European countries that are supposedly superior to us and dont have Trump as president. How could that be?

This is why people like you need to be ignored. You clearly do NOT understand efficacy.. MOST people that contract this virus won't even know it, let alone report it.

How many Americans don't get the flu shot and don't get sick, how many do?
How many will get the coronavirus and will just stay home a few days like they do with the flu, not go to the doctor and recover and be fine. We will never know and therefore the numbers of the virus can be exaggerated by doom and gloomers.
