Many people are upset about racist statues being teared down but why should we put someone up and idolise them when they would treat people like animals.

Racist statues should be teared down

You try to fight history by demolishing monuments, but the history doesn't change after that.
For some reason, the Italians do not think to demolish the monuments to Octavian Augustus or the column of Trojan, although these people were quite themselves supporters of slavery.
You try to judge people brought up in a different morality and morality according to the norms of today and this is nonsense.
Breaking monuments to the confederates, you are like terrorists who destroy monuments of pre-Islamic cultures in the far East and Central Asia.
