It's a damn shame we were the one's who trained him in the first place, but I wouldn't feel bad if the man were to take bullet through the head.

Conflict said:It's quite ironic that so far the blood of Americans that has fallen at the hands of each of these individuals (Bush, Bin Laden) is almost equivelant, and thats simply a factual and physical matter that could be independently corroborated by anyone who can count over 2000.

What are you talking about?

I am annoyed on how many think that that either liberals/Democrats or conservatives/Republicans hate America. Both have strong influences on people in the US, so if you hate them because of their party/ideology you would certainly hate a large percentage of the people in the country. Also both parties have long histories of both helping and hurting this country. Example, Republicans have Lincoln, who you counld say got the country through the Civil War, and ended legal slavery in the US. Democrats have FDR, who got the country through the Great Depression with retaining the capitalist system. And created many social programs that still exist today, and got us through WWII virtually. Both have also harmed the country. Jackson was a Democrat who forced many Native Americans from where they were into "tighter" spots, such as "The Trail of Tears", where they were forced to move to Oklahoma Territory. Republicans have a history of scandals, E.g. Teapot Dome, Watergate, Iran-Contra. Both parties also were formed along time ago, the Democrats origins are from the Democratic-Republican Party, when it split. The Republicans can trace it to that thet're party was formed as an anti-slavery. So enough said, neither Democrats or Republicans really "hate" the country, both are nationalistic. So all in all both are as "American" as the other, both "hate" "America" about the same.

Thompson was acutely aware of the flaws in such a system and regularly advocated radical approaches to politics that veered between libertarian, anarchist, and some aspects of socialism
Jackson had the only Inaugural Party I would have liked to go to.Originally posted by Comrade Brian:
