Russia's invasion of Ukraine stretched into a sixth day Tuesday, as a 40-mile Russian convoy menaced the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv and Ukrainian officials accused Russia of using a vacuum bomb.

Russian combat forces north of Kyiv have not advanced since Monday and have been running out of food and gas, a senior U.S. defense official said Tuesday.

More than 80% of the pre-staged Russian combat power is now inside Ukraine, the official said.

The official added that the "stall" north of Kyiv is due in part to tough Ukrainian resistance and "fuel and sustainment problems."

Unreal...just unreal. After years of modernization, combat experience in various actions, and access to western technology and resources and this is the result? Is it any wonder Putin has to rely on nukes, I'm beginning to think that but for nukes this army would be toast against the 125K of us army employed in 2nd war with Iraq.

Let's pray they are held up enough to start getting chewed up by the 70 plus planes picked up by Ukraine some 1/2 day ago.

I heard a report the 40 kilometer long line of Russian tanks going to Kyiv were being sabotaged by their own troops. A simple drill through the fuel tank and a tank's not going very far mate.
