Putin warns Western countries that their sanctions will lead to food shortages in the 'poorest regions of the world' and spike migration, report says

He is unfortunately correct

Russia and Ukraine are among the largest grain exporters in the world, having their stock removes from markets will cause food shortages in much of the poorest countries. That will cause instability in those countries
Not quite. His invasion and war of destruction against the 9th largest grain producing country in world is what may cause a food shortage. Leave Ukraine and the sanctions on Russia may ease. As for exporting only to "friends of Russia" that list is going to be a pretty short one. China doesn't need any as they're the #1 grain producing nation in the world. But it is kind of alarming that world's 3rd largest grain producer - Russia - went to China begging for military food aid last month.

China's food imports are double what their exports are. China needs food as badly as Russia. (Basically) It's fantastic to be the United States and basically immune from this conflict. (small family farms aside)

He is making a moral appeal to stop sanctions against him on behalf of the poor people of the world.

We're listening because he is making threats and blowing stuff up.

We shouldn't be, there is no winning when negotiating with terrorists.

The moral appeal of "If you don't do what I say, I'm dropping this baby from the 10th story to the ground. Its death is in the hands of your own moral decision."?

Please clarify "so he dosen't get to talk."
