Was down near Pensacola way, visiting a friend. He's Sheriff there.
Did a ride-about with him, when in came a call.
Sheriff. Got us a homicide, came the call.
We headed that way non-stop.
Showed up at the door, which was opened, and the both of us looked upon a woman standing above a man on the floor, a four iron gold club in her hand. He was bleeding about the head, and obviously dead.
My friend, the sheriff, asked, "Maam, is that yer husband.?"
"Yes, it is." She replied calmly.
"Did you do this?" my friend, the sheriff asked.
"Yes, I did." She said, calmly.
"Well, maam," looking at the 4 iron in her hand, "How many times did you hit him?"
She looked at the sheriff, my friend, curiously, then replied, " Four, five, six times...I don't know. Just put me down for a Five. Okay?"
