The University of New Mexico has launched its first-ever “Sex Week” observance this week with a controversial agenda that includes workshops such as “How to be a Gentleman and Still Get Laid,” “Negotiating Successful Threesomes,” “O-Face Oral” and “BJs and Beyond” – seminars that have prompted concern from some conservative students on campus.
As for the “Negotiating Successful Threesomes” and “BJs and Beyond” presentations, he is set to give those later this week at Self Serve, an adult business in Albuquerque. Students are asked to pay an additional fee to attend those seminars, and space is limited.
Public University’s Sex Week Includes ‘Negotiating Successful Threesomes’ Event
Liberal academia is such a wholesome and productive way to prepare yourself for a career nowdays.
Where do I sign my daughters up for this?!
A university should allow such topics to be covered. The charge of consequence-free sex is mighty presumptuous, wouldn't you say?
That being said, the session entitled, "How to be a Gentleman and Still Get Laid" is, quite frankly, contradictory. That one should have been reconsidered.
Who says modern "Liberal" culture doesn't encourage promiscuity and irresponsible sexual behavior, amirite?

None of this will increase the chances of a less attractive man getting laid. Until that happens, not impressed.
Who says modern "Liberal" culture doesn't encourage promiscuity and irresponsible sexual behavior among youth demographics, amirite?
I feel the same way about conservatism, frankly.
That being said, the university is a place where these sessions can largely roam free.
Yeah because yah know, without liberalism no one would ever wanna **** right...
The presence of a dedicated "sex week" would seem to suggest that this more than a mere niche interest.
It would appear to be something endorsed by the school administration.
They are literally hosting classes teaching men how to pick up strange at bars, while - quite paradoxically - still being "gentlemen."
Should we start hosting classes on how to get away with murder at prisons as well?
I'm in!

To be accurate some of those events are being held at a separate place, an adult business.
I just wonder what kind of snacks are being provided at the O face oral event. Oatmeal cream pies? :2razz:
Human sexuality is a never-ending supply of interest. Educational sessions around it, even the cutely dressed up ones like this, are supplying that demand. Although many singles would appear, I would think such things would be seen by most couples as perfectly healthy sessions to attend.
For me, the university is a place where even the some taboo things can be discussed, and are discussed. Compartmentalized.
Maybe I'll host a class on "how not to make idiotic comparisons" because well murder and picking up chicks don't go together unless you're American psycho.
Just looking at the title and not the content of the workshop and mebbe it's me but I'm having a hard time seeing what's contradictory about it. You don't have to act like Korg to spend a mutually consented, mutually agreeable evening (or more) with someone.
There is nothing "compartmentalized" about this. This is clearly meant to be an event catering to the student body as a whole, which carries "official" sanction with it.
It'd be one thing if the University had a "sex club" somewhere on campus. This is something different entirely.
They are basically going out of their way to market sexually promiscuous lifestyles to their student body.
