Proposed Game Plan For Democratic House - Mass Impeachments

The Democrats will control the House on January 2, 2019. The Republicans likely will retain control of the Senate on January 2, 2019. Under the Constitution the House of Representatives is in charge of impeaching Federal officials.The Senate has the power to try the impeached official for removal from office.Many Democrats believe that President Donald Trump should be impeached and removed. Many Democrats also believe that Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh should be impeached and removed. Ditto Acting Attorney General Whittaker.

Perhaps the Democrats should consider assigning to committees the job of drafting articles of impeachment, where appropriate, and flooding the Senate with the duty to conduct trials. This would be a constructive and creative way to generate ferment.

And waste millions of tax dollars......
 
Fringe members will push it but I doubt the majority will go for it. Pushing an impeachment that will undoubtedly not lead to conviction by the Senate won’t look good. It led to a number of congressional losses for Republicans when they tried it on Clinton.

If the Senate won’t convict then it will make Trump seem vindicated after the process. Now, if the investigation yields evidence even the Republican Senate can’t deny, then that is another story. But I don’t believe we are at that point yet.

I think you're also gonna see a slow waking of the GOP. They've embraced this president and look what it's gotten them? A solid 30% base and no propects for expanding that. No, it won't take as much as some think for them to turn on him. Once they feel he's costng their re-election campaigns they'll dump him like an orange hot potato.
 
My advice to those Democrats is "easy does it." I believe that nobody is more deserving of impeachment than Trump, and I believe that Kavanaugh is likely deserving of impeachment as well, but they're going to have a bit more luck on their side if they hold investigations that conclude with legitimate evidence in favor of impeachment first.

This is a very big deal and everything has to be done by the book.

Impeachment requires a crime. If Trump and Kavanaugh have committed crimes, then impeachment is the remedy. As far as Whitaker, I believe as some experts do that his appointment violates our Constitution. If so, the SCOTUS will make that decision and not the House.
 
Sounds like the dims will be wasting everyone's time and tax dollars over the next two years. Great leadership!

That's one part. There's currently no Special Counsel investigation for Emoluments violations, which is what the House will likely be instigating.
 
Impeach trump is the worst thing to do. The democrats obviously love turnovers that’s grow to them. The democrats are a joke

There needs to be a valid reason to impeach someone. There is no reason to impeach Trump or Kavanaugh. You can't impeach someone just because you don't like them and want them gone. Even Mueller hasn't found any reasons to impeach anyone and there was no evidence against Kavanaugh for anything either.

Impeachment is not on the Dems agenda. Did you watch ANY interview with leading Dem House members? The priorities are healthcare, infrastructure, opiad crisis, and oversight. The Dems know any over reach in regards to impeachment will cost them in 2020. That is not to say oversight will not occur, it is the Houses DUTY to provide oversight on the Executive Branch. If crimes have been committed I fully expect the House to fufill their duty.
 
Mass impeachments would be idiotic and by implication, unjust.

But we don't get to "unjust" because of the sheer idiocy it would demonstrate if the Dems got all these articles of impeachment through the house only to be met by a bunch of fart sounds on loop from the senate.
