Obviously folk in the USA by and large ignore whatever happens within the confines of Russian interest.
They ignore it to their peril.
Russia has as part of it's constitution a section that permits Russian Security to delete anyone who is seen (by Russian authorities) to be against interest of Russia.
 

There are many countries and cultures that have completely different and odd (from our perspective) governmental practices and policies. So what? The fact that we expect every country to behave like we do is not only arrogant but kind of fascist. Do we have to agree with it? No, and it is really none of our business unless it actually has to do with us directly.

Perhaps what I neglected to say was that this alteration to the Russian Constitution also gave the (executioners) the right to pursue in other nations.

I didn't say it was fascist. I said it was kind of fascist to try and force Democracy down the throats of others. And yes, I know what fascism is. :roll:

Execution is generally the term for a legal, government sanctioned killing of someone who has broken the law.

Murder is generally the term for the illegal killing of a person.

So, yes there is a difference.

But there constitution really does say that the government may execute those it finds troublesome? What is there standard for deciding.

BTW: I only posted the last because I thought that if they'd actually used delete in the constitution it would have been a little bit funny.

The reason I find stuff like this disturbing is that I was a young man serving in the military from 1985 to 2002. I spent years training for the day that the Soviet Union stormed the Fulda Gap. I watched in amazement as the Soviet Union disintegrated and Russia began an emergence from a very dark history. It was exciting to see, two great ideologies on the brink of destroying the world and in my mind the good guys won.

And now, here we are. With Russia slipping backwards into darkness again.
