It's a start - the Cal State Bar going after a pos lawyer, John Eastman, who earned his skunk stripe by drawing up how DJT could overturn the presidential election of 2020.

The State Bar announced its investigation of John Eastman in a statement Tuesday, noting that the probe began in September and is focused on whether Eastman violated California law or ethics rules governing attorneys in relation to the 2020 presidential election.

"A number of individuals and entities have brought to the State Bar's attention press reports, court filings, and other public documents detailing Mr. Eastman's conduct," the State Bar's chief trial counsel, George Cardona, said in the statement.

"We want to thank those who took the time to bring to our attention this information, which serves as the starting point for our investigation. We will be proceeding with a single State Bar investigation in which we will continue to gather and analyze relevant evidence and go wherever it leads us."

Hopefully Mr. Trump paid Mr. Eastman an amount for his services which was sufficient to finance Mr. Eastman's retirement. Or did Mr. Trump stiff Mr. Eastman like he does all lawyers who don't achieve the results he demanded (regardless of whether or not those results could be obtained legally)?

I'm going with a super stiffing. As far as DJT is concerned, Eastman's coup plan failed leaving DJT currently only King of Mar-a-Lago and not the world - just yet.

I'm just waiting for the municipal council to send in the sheriff to enforce the terms under which Mr. Trump got his zoning change approved. Or, alternatively, for the municipal council to revoke the rezoning and re-categorize Mar-A-Lago as a private residence (which would mean that Mr. Trump has to pay taxes on it at the same rate as "Joe the Plumber" pays on his $250,000 condo and would prevent Mr. Trump from operating any business from it until he obtained a municipal business licence (unless he wanted to pay whacking great fines every time he charged someone for a drink, a meal, to stay overnight, or to play golf). That "might" have some "slight" bearing on how much Mar-A-Lago could be retailed for.

I think that they ought to dig a moat across the southern tip of Palm Beach and exile him in Mar A Lago. And watch him like hawks.

The government is going to wind up owning Mar A Lago.

Which is ironic, because the Federal government turned the Post estate down when they tried to give it to them, before Trump bought it.

If things go as some of us hope they will, Trump will be in an ancle bracelet for years to come. Confined to his Florida home. That will be Trumps jail.

Good.

Eastman is as corrupt as they come.

My hope is slightly darker. I'm rooting for one of those huge Fla sink holes to gobble Mar-a- Lago with their King still inside but after ALL stolen White House documents are recovered by the proper authorities.

“Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege,” the Pence lawyer, Greg Jacob, wrote to Eastman.

“The ‘siege’ is because YOU and your boss did not do what was necessary to allow this to be aired in a public way so the American people can see for themselves what happened,” Eastman replied.

Why do you think that nobody did anything about the phone call that Trump made to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger?
Trump asked to get to the facts, get ballots and trace them back to the US Citizens who supposidly filled them out!

DA Fani Willis is conducting an ongoing probe into DJT's attempt to overturn Ga's election results. Patience my friend.

Obviously Mr. Trump does not know that the ballots in American elections can NOT be traced back to the person who filled them out.

Such a basic lack of knowledge should automatically disqualify a person from elective office.

Now, if the lawyers that Mr. Trump hired to press his court actions that hinged on the "fact" that it was possible to trace an individual ballot to an individual voter didn't know that that was something that could NOT be done under the "secret ballot" provisions that apply to American elections, then that lack of basic knowledge should automatically disqualify a person from the practice of law.

And, if the lawyers that Mr. Trump hired to press his court actions that hinged on the "fact" that it was possible to trace an individual ballot to an individual voter DID know that that was something that could NOT be done under the "secret ballot" provisions that apply to American elections AND did NOT so advise Mr. Trump, then such unprofessional and unethical conduct should automatically disqualify a person from the practice of law.

And, if the lawyers that Mr. Trump hired to press his court actions that hinged on the "fact" that it was possible to trace an individual ballot to an individual voter DID know that that was something that could NOT be done under the "secret ballot" provisions that apply to American elections AND DID so advise Mr. Trump AND did NOT advise Mr. Trump that there was zero likelihood of his court actions succeeding, then such unprofessional and unethical conduct should automatically disqualify a person from the practice of law.

What?
All the Mail in Ballots that flooded the 2020 election had bar codes that tied the ballot to a citizen and there was suppose to be a signature that
can be verified.

Your point about "that the ballots in American elections can NOT be traced back to the person who filled them out."
ties in to Trumps point of how those ballots that were scanned over and over constitution Voter fraud!

Eastman is a nut job. He used to be on Hugh Hewett all the time. Fry his ass.

Nope. The OUTER envelope had the bar code. When the OUTER envelope was verified, then it was opened and the INNER - UNCODED - envelope which contained the actual UNCODED ballot form was placed in the ballot box (unopened). THEN when it came time to count the UNCODED ballots that were still in their inner UNCODED "Security" envelope, the inner UNCODED "Security" envelopes were opened and the UNCODED ballots either counted directly or chucked into a big bin from which they were then extracted and counted.

Please pay closer attention in class and stop listening to the stupid rumours and false information that you obviously swallow unthinkingly.

Unfortunately Mr. Trump has about as little knowledge of what happened as you appear to have of how the system works.

PS - Don't you think that you demand that something be done that you then say is impossible to do is just a bit silly?

With, or without the Chinese massage parlor owner, or the hangers on who were running the VA on the side?

Remember that this same cabal was pressing to send canvassers around to question people on who they voted for.

I doubt that Trump knew or knows the first thing about election law. Few right wingers actually do. They just repeat what the man on the screen or in the AM radio tells them to think.

And Trump was no more interested in election law than he was in democracy, the rule of law or the Consititution (which he probably still thinks is an apartment house on the Upper West Side)

An extra large sink hole that brings all of the Mar-a-Lago King's subjects and structures delightfully parked on the lower level (below sea level).

Boy you are trying real hard to convince yourself that we can not trace a ballot back to the US Citizen that cast it!....
That is a totally insane idea when we at talking about a "Free and Fair Election" in America ....

I don't have a "mail in Ballot" degree or anything like that, but I'm sure you don't either so there's no point in arguing.
But here is a guy who has degrees in this type of stuff!

@8:45 shows what I was talking about. Note how the DEM Ballot is shady as S.

More witch hunting.

As Joe Friday used to say "The facts, just the facts."
That is a totally insane idea when we at talking about a "Free and Fair Election" in America ....
Well, given the degree of gerrymandering and "voter hindrance" that is accepted practice in US elections at present, please get back to me when the US does have "Free, Fair, Open, and Honest Elections".
I don't have a "mail in Ballot" degree or anything like that, but I'm sure you don't either so there's no point in arguing.
There is no such thing as a "'mail in Ballot' degree". I have, however, run elections.

Sorry, your link doesn't work for me. Please supply one that does.

PS - Please also supply credentials for the person in the video as well as links to what they say is the evidence that supports their position. YOU might be prepared to take the word of some political hack who is pushing an agenda on the basis of "Trust Me.", I'm not.

Don't even need to put crocodiles in it, they'll show up naturally.
