He got bullied right out of there.
Now, call me crazy, but I think it's possible that if Trump is still President this time next year, Vince McMahon will be in the cabinet and all meetings will be held Wrestlemania style. Perhaps even in a cage.
I thought it was bad that Reince caved and joined the Administration. I understand that he probably thought that a reasonable voice could temper this dumpster fire of a President.
I really enjoy how relieved that Spicer and Priebus looked in the post-resignation interviews.

Priebus reminded me of that scene from ANIMAL HOUSE where a young Kevin Bacon is pledging to the typical macho rich boy frat and he is bent over as the sadist Needermeyer beats his ass with a paddle and Bacon utters the famous line .... "thank you sir may I have another". That was Priebus during this interview.
Trump and Scaramouch bent him over the table before the nation and humiliated him and all he can do is smile and pretend he was being made love to after a whirlwind courtship by such great people. Its sad that he is such a wimp.
That would be really cool, but only if the fake was taken out and it was all real.He got bullied right out of there.

If he had been recruited to participate in the impeachment of Trump now is not the time to admit it, so smiling and saying "I still love Trump (paraphrase)" is the right call. The man is not an idiot, he just was not able to do the job he was asked to do.
Or he did not want to do....we dont know yet....but we will.
What I want to know is, can he do the fandango?

option three: he was not given the power to do the job that is necessary to do it.
He snubbed Hannity which he went on later last night, and has become the shortest serving chief of staff in history:

This is not a charity operation, and this is an extremely important position, Trump was never going to hand over power without some reason to believe that it would be used well.
Priebus should have known from the start that he needed to prove himself to Trump, but he never did.
His replacement on the other hand has earned that trust.
Again - one option is that he was never given the power necessary to properly do that job. Several discussions on cable have indicated this just might be the case. Time will tell.
I have already stipulated this, with me claiming that he was never gifted power because Trump would never do that for this position, and he never earned it either, so he never got it, so he was never going to work so bye bye.

Folks who fail at their jobs usually are upon leaving.
The CNN leaker gave CNN this first interview ?
You dont say
I kept giving Spicer the benefit of the doubt. And with a less contentious press v. White House he might have done just fine. But he took everything way too personal, imo. Sometimes he was painful to watch.
If that is true- then Trump set him up to fail and got just what he deserved.
It will be a great picture of Trump then.Folks who fail at their jobs usually are upon leaving.
He did not want to give up the last shred of integrity. If he had been recruited to participate in the impeachment of Trump now is not the time to admit it, so smiling and saying "I still love Trump (paraphrase)" is the right call. If I set you up with a hot piece of ass and you cant close the deal then it was your fault, dont blame me.
Priebus had what it took to get the job, he did not have what it took to succeed at the job, because he could never win Trump over, which was his fault and given how he is acting he might just understand this.
