Zelenskyy is right. They don't really care in the ethical sense, they just don't want their companies to suffer any brand reputational damage at this time.

They'll be back doing business in Russia at the first opportunity.

We hem in another country economically by requiring a change in behavior such as invading other sovereign countries that have a right to self-determination, out of which comes a liberal form of govt. However, IMO, it's not practicable to require they change their form of govt, beyond changing their behavior, to what we want it to be. For a number of reasons.
