We do not need to go to the extremes to prove a clear point.

The reality is that anywhere from 24-65% of Covid-19 deaths could have been prevented if mask wearing has been mandated by Trump and followed through by the local authorities with a compliance by the public of at least 80% .

Mask wearing is presently at 48% and a few months ago in July it was only at 44% and most of the people not wearing masks were (guess who?) the Republicans. I wonder why?

Using this information and considering that over 200,000 deaths have occurred so far in the U.S., it can safely be stated that anywhere from 50,000 to as many as 130,000 deaths could have been prevented by Trump is he simply had made "wearing a mask" a mandate.

This is certainly proven over and over again in countries were mask wearing was mandate and that have shown (and presently are showing) a curtailment of deaths per day of as much 98%. Our deaths have gone down in the best of cases no more than 40% and in quite a few cases, have not gone down but have gone up.

There is NO DOUBT that if Trump had made in March a mandate to wear masks, tens of thousands of people would not have died. Trump is a mass murderer!

Negating Trump's fault in this has become a Trump supporters mantra. There are a lot of things he could have done but didn't. Perhaps the word "mandate" is not the exact word to be used but certainly the presidency is there to "suggest" what should be done.

Perhaps you are unaware of the fact that the CDC is part of the government and is the official part that deals with pandemics. It is they that are in charge of guidelines and they have definitely recommend mask wearing and it is TRUMP that has not suggested those guidelines be followed. There is NO DOUBT that Trump could have done more that would have prevented many deaths from having occurred.

He personally does not wear a mask, he has not mandated people wear masks at this rallies, which is something he definitely could have done, just like Walmart mandating wearing of masks in order to enter THEIR stores. That is totally legal and able to be done.

It is you that refuses to make Trump accountable for his actions and decisions but you are certainly the first one that gives him CREDIT for the things he has accomplished. Well, let me show you one thing where you are totally wrong in giving Trump credit for...........the tax cut that helped the economy. A tax cut was something the Republicans wanted to do for many years before Trump was in the picture. It was the Republican held Congress (both House and Senate) that passed the tax cut and they did it without any help from Trump. Nonetheless, you give Trump credit for that but do not make him responsible for not suggesting the country follow CDC guidelines?

That is pure cult bias on your part and makes you a useless person to debate with. You give to value to facts.

For all the talk about Trump being a fascist people sure are quick to demand he trample the constitution and overstep his legal authority. We are a federalist society and he is the executive. He is not the state legislature and governor of all 50 states. Nor is he a member of our federal legislature. The constitution would probability be a good read for you.

He is not the leader of mask mandates. Not sure what is so confusing for you. Please let me know where you are getting tripped up on basic understandings of executive authority.

His job is to make sure the government carries out the laws enacted by Congress. There is no law requiring mask wearing from Congress. And, even if they passed such a law it would be challenged and have to be very specific in implementation and have defined exit criteria to have any chance of not being thrown out by the courts.

Biden had said he would implement a national mask mandate, but then he figured out it's unconstitutional. For some reason his supporters still run around demanding fascism though.

Even the health experts say that wearing a mask is the best defense against the virus. Of course, wanting to save lives is a "fascist" thing to right wingers.

And when it comes to your gawd trump any increase in his power is creating a "fuhrer". Do you happen to remember when he was bragging about how much power he had under the National Emergency rules?

Have you looked into just what they did back then and just how much real info was coming out of DC
I am sure you know all about the lies Trump told and all the misinformation and contradicting info that DC and the CDC were putting out Don't you
well for one thing back when this all started Como and the Governors of the NE states had no example of what to do and what not to do , and I am sure they were confused because of all the conflicting info coming out of DC
and when Como did start putting these people into Nursing homes the people being put into them were suppose to be " Recovering " ( almost completely over it ) and were suppose to be kept away from the other people in those nursing homes
there were regulations in place that were not followed ,
and then back then they really didn't know just how fast this would spread ( 1 reported case in NYC on March 1 and by the end of the month there were 75,750 plus cases ) , and a lot of the spread in these nursing homes came from the workers there and not the people being brought in
and again they ( the Governors , Como ) made a LOT of mistakes and it was those mistakes that they learned from ( seeing there wasn't any real example of what to do and not do ) and they shared that info with other health care workers across the country and in doing so helped save a lot of lives
and the people on the right can not give them any credit for figuring out what to do and in doing so saving lives of people all across the country
