President Obama Calls for World Community to Facilitate Palestinian-Israeli Peace

In his remarks before the UN General Assembly, President Obama called on the international community to make constructive efforts to facilitate peace between Israel and the Palestinians. He called for the international community to move beyond "posturing" that empowers "the forces of rejectionism and hate." He urged the world community to empower the Palestinian authority and put Israel's existence beyond debate.

Some excerpts:

Those who have signed on to the Arab Peace Initiative should seize this opportunity to make it real by taking tangible steps toward the normalization that it promises Israel. Those who speak out for Palestinian self-government should help the Palestinian Authority politically and financially, and – in so doing – help the Palestinians build the institutions of their state. And those who long to see an independent Palestine rise must stop trying to tear Israel down.

After thousands of years, Jews and Arabs are not strangers in a strange land. And after sixty years in the community of nations, Israel's existence must not be a subject for debate. Israel is a sovereign state, and the historic homeland of the Jewish people...

This is truly the height of hypocrisy!

The entire world has been trying to facilitate peace regarding the Israel/Palestine situation and only in compliance with international law. They even vote on it every year and the two consistent obstacles to peace are Israel and the US. To then hear Obama spout this nonsense is so ridiculous it's almost unbelievable.

It seems Obama also like to reverse reality. Of course, I was already aware of that.
