It's not all that easy to show strict causality between actions which President of the United States of America Donald Trump has taken and changes in the world of business, either good or bad. This is especially true when we set aside the spins of the pundits and look to professional economists for guidance.

There's one small area, though, in which causality's a cinch to demonstrate. It's in a category of books, sometimes called 'tell-all's', which cast President Trump in a bad light. If he [President Trump] tweets something negative about the book, its sales take off like a rocket, often to the coveted Top 10 category.

Publishers of books denounced by President Trump have seen their bottom lines improve, even in the present less-than-optimum economic conditions.

Regards, stay safe 'n well. Remember the Big 3: masks, hand washing and physical distancing.

Do you have any evidence, since you say "it's a cinch to demonstrate", that any book had very low sales...and then the sales took off "like a rocket" after Trump tweeted about it?

Yep, the business of Trump bashing appears to be good.

Yes. Mary Trump's book. She released it, Trump tweeted all sorts of disparaging remarks about her and the book, and bam, the book went straight to the best sellers list and has been there ever since.

Just wait till Michael Cohen's book is released. (Sometime this month) Same thing will happen. And this one is going to be a whopper.

Something I'd like to add. How many books have been written about all the good stuff Trump has done? Only a few, and their all written by Trump himself. It just makes you wonder why so many people are writing all this bad stuff about Trump? Is it possible it's all true????

Did her book have low sales...until Trump tweeted?

You know, when I ask for evidence I'm not asking for a statement. I'm asking for actual evidence...such as sales numbers. Please keep that in mind.

Just wait till Michael Cohen's book is released. (Sometime this month) Same thing will happen. And this one is going to be a whopper.

Okay. We'll put this down as your prediction. Let me know if your prediction comes to pass, eh?

Something I'd like to add. How many books have been written about all the good stuff Trump has done? Only a few, and their all written by Trump himself.

I don't know how many have been written. It's not something I follow. So, you tell me. Be sure you do a thorough search, though. You know, so you can justify your statement that they are all written by Trump himself.

It just makes you wonder why so many people are writing all this bad stuff about Trump? Is it possible it's all true????

No, it doesn't make me wonder. I know why so many people are writing this bad stuff about Trump. It makes them money.

And no...it's not possible it's all true. Much of the nonsense written in books about Trump has been proven to be lies.
