My father just died tonight from a severe case of copd, he had no covid and was vaccinated, however his lungs were badly damaged from years of chain smoking, silicosis brought on by much of what he did in the navy, as well as possible lung cancer which the doctors told no one but him the results before he died. Between smoking and what the navy exposed him to it ultimately did him in.
My mother died in 2015 from cancer, and my father died today, my mother was in her 50's and my father was in his 60's when they both died. He started reaching towards god in his later years before he died, and deserves atleast some respect for his honorable military service and his decency as a human being.
I will not say his name but a couple people here served on the uss inchon likely served with him in the navy, may everyone give a soldier a hearty prayer and a well deserved salute after his death from lung failure.
