Cheney accused on prisoner abuse

A top aide to former Secretary of State Colin Powell has launched a stinging attack on US Vice-President Dick Cheney over abuse of prisoners by US troops.
Col Lawrence Wilkerson accused Mr Cheney of ignoring a decision by President Bush on the treatment of prisoners in the war on terror.

That was a good speech.
He also says:

"We can’t leave Iraq. We simply can’t. I can make that case. No one in this administration has made that case. They have simply pontificated. That’s all they’ve done. Now, I’m not evaluating the decision to go to war. That’s a different matter. But we’re there, we’ve done it, and we cannot leave. I would submit to you that if we leave precipitously or we leave in a way that doesn’t leave something there we can trust, if we do that, we will mobilize the nation, put 5 million men and women under arms and go back and take the Middle East within a decade."

What a fabulous spin Powell put's on the whole issue. THanks for pointing out this ridiculous diatribe.

The war on terror or the war in Iraq?
 
Yeah I can imagine chenney going into a torture chamber with these people and strapping their balls to jumper cables. Or cuting their tongues off with scissors. Or sticking snakes down their throats. Yeah I am sure chenney was totally responsible for toture
