Ok in this thread I would like to share positive gun uses. Give us the stories about your gun literally saving you. Give us the stories of your gun preventing you from being harmed by changing the mind of your attacker/s. Give us similar stories that happened to close friends or family members. Actual personal stories or 100 percent factual friend or family ones.
I will begin.
Decades ago I went to a park to play basketball with my brother in law. I was carrying a 9mm pistol in my jacket pocket. My brother in law was only 16 and unarmed. As we played horse lol on one court a big game was happening on another court 100 yards away. As we played I noticed the other game had stopped and all the players and spectators were walking toward us. This park was adjacent a housing projects so I anticipated the worst was about to happen. I immediately ordered my brother in law to grab his stuff. We gotta go now bud, I said to my BIL. He initially got upset but a quick nod toward the approaching trouble motivated him instantly. As the group of black youth spread out and got within talking range they asked if we were from the neighborhood. I responded no even though I lived half a block away. There were 13 maybe 15 young men of various sizes and all seemed to be in the 15 year old range if I had to guess. The voice man said we were not allowed to play on their court while others spoke of beating the shit out of us. I said yes sir I figured that was why you were coming up on us and we are leaving. Keep in mind that we were already walking toward the exit as this group closed the distance on us. I said please allow us to leave guys we don’t want any trouble. They began to spread wider and continued to close the distance only now they are openly angry and threatening grave bodily harm. I decided that I could not allow them to attack us and pulled my pistol hoping that seeing it would cause them to stop and allow us to safely leave the park. I stopped and turned back to face the group. My pistol was in my right hand pointed down at my side. I turned the gun sideways so that a good view was possible and gave my last warning………I said we are leaving. If you continue to walk up on us making threats I am going to be forced to use deadly force. Leave us alone. I said this firm and with the most serious voice I had ever used in my life. The group stopped the attack and we left unharmed.
I had 8 rounds in the gun and no spare. To this day I am thankful that they stopped. Without my gun we would have been beaten or worst. There was no doubt in my mind that my gun saved us from serious injury that day.
I will begin.
