I'm not the one that posts this every year or so, desperate for validation, and lies to escape it every time. I bring honest arguments to counter your opt out scheme...not my fault you cant argue them...only insult.

Your OP speaks for itself...as do the desperate attempts to deny any counter information at all. Year after year. All I have to do is cut and paste in return...you have the need to vent against women and portray men as victims. (Which IMO, they're not but hey, you do you obviously)

And just to wrap things up ('til next time ), this demonstrates clearly that his entire argument (post 573 for a summary) is pure hypocrisy because the father can be the father again anytime he chooses. His opt-out "law or agreement" wont prevent it.

The man can decide anytime after the birth to be involved in the kid's life, or if the kid contacts him, and he can just pick up anytime, anywhere he wants. Yeah, he'll have to start paying support but he still get's to be a dad IF he wants. HIS CHOICE.​

No court will stop that...because all agree that it's best for the kid to have the father involved in their lives. (I do too). Some states even let rapists apply for visitation, even custody, when they're released...they're certainly not going to stop non-criminals from being in their kids' lives.​

The courts always allow contact, visitation, etc...parents fight to stop that all the time and lose...unless there's a history of abuse. Again, it's about what's best for the kid. No agreement will supersede the kid's best interests on this to cut one parent out.​

Men will get out of all the responsibilities AND still get to be a father when they feel like it. Does that sound like "legal equality"?​

The father can "opt back in" anytime he chooses. Cue: "But that's not the argument!" Because @Bodi's argument is a giant, anti-society, COERCIVE misogynistic falsehood.

I can agree to such terms ....with a single contingency.
Within those states where abortion remains an illegal act and as such criminal charges are filed (currently against the woman) such charges are to be filed against BOTH parties responsible for the conception of the embryo in question (DNA and/or testimony would be used to confirm.).

This rests upon the rationale that biologically and figuratively speaking, 'it takes two to tango' while current law restricts the onus singularly upon the shoulders of the mother.... However the father is equally complicit. This involves the father in both the decision to abort and the risks involved in breaking relevant law. (Contingent upon the mother's full disclosure)

He's now a factor in the discussion to abort or not. Also, a factor in the possible risks (where applicable) in aborting.

It's based on your hypothetical pregnant mother's options:
  1. Woman never informs man of pregnancy and aborts
  2. Woman never informs man of pregnancy and has child but never gets financial help from him
Contingency reasoning: unless he's informed of her pregnancy, he cannot be held criminally responsible if - she alone - chooses to abort.
 

So you are putting it all on her?
