In Portland, Ore., and Seattle, protesters marched through the downtown areas on Wednesday carrying signs opposing the police, immigration authorities and government in general, and some people in each city vandalized buildings symbolizing institutional power.

In Portland, about 200 people clad in black marched to the local Democratic headquarters, where some of them smashed windows and tipped over garbage containers, lighting the contents of one on fire.

Those who took to the streets on Wednesday said they were a mix of anarchists, anti-fascists and racial justice protesters. One of their signs said, “We don’t want Biden — we want revenge” for killings committed by police officers and “fascist massacres.”

“We are ungovernable,” one sign in the crowd said.

Wonder how Biden plans to bring about unity, peace and justice to those above.

Remember, it was today during his inauguration address, where he said of BLM groups, their protests are “a cry for racial justice, some 400 years in the making,” and adding, “The dream of justice for all will be deferred no longer.” He also talked about a “rise of political extremism, white supremacy, [and] domestic terrorism that we must confront and we will defeat.

Let's see if Biden walks the walk... or if he's just blowing smoke. How is he going to bring unity to local communities where violent riots continue?

Yes I agree, we'll see what he walks in due time.

Politics aside, did you like the great closing for Biden/Harris inauguration this evening?

BLM isn't Antifa.

You sure that flyer isn't a fake? Pictures of cans being thrown?

Look, I can only go by what the article stated... BLM also showed up in DC at the capitol today as well. Invoking their name into my post was done for a reason.

40-50 anti-fascists congregated in front of the Capitol in Denver and burned a flag. ANTI-FASCISTS, Trix.
Large groups of anti-fascist protestors rolled up, took a photo and started burning a few flags. Law enforcement came up, extinguished flags, then protestors started fires back up. Cops backed off. pic.twitter.com/ifiIwu2qLu

According to the Colorado State Patrol, protesters began burning a flag at about 12:45 p.m. local time, and the flames were extinguished about 15 minutes later. There were nearly as many members of the media in attendance as there were protesters, the public information officer said.

Lol broken windows of a democratic headquarters isnt a riot. Its petty vandalism.

A lot of people in that city dont like the Dems, and for good reason. Especially when it comes to local Dem politicians like Ted Wheeler who is not only the city's mayor, but their police commissioner. And he has done nothing to control his out of control violent cops that have a history of being way too friendly with far right white supremacist groups like the Proud Boys and other chud militias. And recently he claimed a protester punched him while he was out to dinner when video shows them just confronting his weasel ass.

Same goes for Seattle's mayor and her police force, a force that had some off duty cops out in DC storming the capitol building.

At least these peaceful protesters didnt have Trump flags or they would be guilty of treason
When have peaceful protesters with Trump (neo-Nazi, Confederate) flags been accused of treason?

Those same "rioters" wound up helping a mother and her child after her car flipped on it's side when she clipped a parked car.

The article said that the Portland cops identified and arrested those that did damage. See, Biden walked the walk before you could talk. lol

For years, Portland and Seattle have been infamous for their liberal activist community...in fact it would be unusual if there wasn't a daily protest and vandalism on a symbolic building somewhere, usually it's the federal courthouse. I figure if the local community didn't like the activists destructive activities then they wouldn't put up with it, but they do so I guess they must like it and/or empathize more with the activists than with the government...and fascists.

Many here must be too young to remember the Seattle riots by the leftists against globalization

The presence of violence by the most radicals (often anarchists) does not invalidate the message. The same was true in 1999 with the message of the left against globalization (at a time when both mainstream Ds and Rs were fully supporting all the things that now Trump supporters hate) and the same is true with today's BLM message.

And yes, it is obvious that the fringe on the left are not Biden supporters...
