I for one think (using Mike Tyson's word) pornography "exasperates" social stereotypes. Porn and consumers of porn, demonstrates perverse, racial, and misogynistic qualities of society. I think when I see sights like "Ghetto gaggers, Milf lessons, Monster C***" I think people who mildly, or moderately consume porn, subconsciously subscribe to it. So do you guys think so?

Rule 34 is pretty much universal.

Much like gluttony, lust is a vice that grows with more indulgence.

Yes, it does. Then again, pornography is a reflection of the animalistic, lustful (and at times romantic) tendencies of humanity rather than its intelligence, witful humor, or complexity.

But all tendencies are not equally present so which is more prominent? I think that is why we have genres to effect those certain prominent feelings.

Solution: Amateur porn.

Regular people doing their thing. None of the production.

Yes but lust is a component of behavior. I'm sure you know lust is not necessary for sex. However I agree with you.

Animalistic lust and sex, obviously. The other portions are directly connected and important to the act captured on camera, but less prominent.

Agreed. But ejaculating on a woman's face is that NOT pornographic? Is that NOT sustaining male dominance?

I think that a thread that contains the word "porn" in it is destined to set records for visits and replies.

Indeed..

That's one possible interpretation. The other interpretation is mutual enjoyment or trade-off in dominance (example: the woman could do similar).

True but one may not be as agreeable as the other. For example a woman may think giving fellatio to a man, nasty, but a woman may not object to her receiving. Trade offs vary would you agree?

Response to fiddy...

Sorry I made a typo. I am on my ps3 and it wont let me edit.

Yes, but I am attempting to say you are looking at pornography (and even some sexual acts themselves) through one lens, but it's one that is still a limited lens.

Indeed, but then how does one perceive then?

I am not entirely sure what you want here, but here you go.

Well, not that I am one to research using these methods (and I wouldn't want to research pornography anyway), but the social sciences provide a number of methods to look at a subject matter.

For instance, with interracial scenes, to what extent is it focused on that idea that a caucasian woman is going to engage in sexual activities with a colored man in comparison with a man doing the same with a non-caucasian woman. On one hand if we think that women with men of color (especially when she pursues it) is more common than the other, we could contrast that with the previous social taboo for those women to admit such desires. You could also look at the economics of it, by whether or not such scenes are profitable in comparison with others for either actors (and more specifically, does one person gain more from it than the other).

Fiddy why you gotta go there? (Shakes hands) I have a study session to go. If I'm not dead I will respond to this...

Don't go crazy on it, now. It's just something to think about.

Why do you ask such a specific question?

there are also movies, books, video games, music, radio shows and all types of medias that are the same way.

so singling out porn is just silly and illogical.

i could watch racist movies all day, read misogynistic books all day, it would never make me racist or misogynistic because im not a moron or a mental midget sheep. Just saying

Porn isn't something that came from nowhere and started effecting our society. Porn was created to fill a need that was already there. Men fantasize of slutty women, and women fantasize about a fairy tale romance. Trashy romance novels are porn for chicks.

I definitely think pornography tries to romanticize social taboos, a prime example are inter-racial stereotypes. For example pornography tries to continuously establish black men being well endowed. Or black women as "ebonies" or "ghetto booty hoes."

I think in this respect what porn does is it feeds societal self-consciousness by making these genres sexually desirable although socially and openly it isn't. We also see the economical side as inter-racial porn does not sell as well as non inter-racial porn. I think although there are consumers of various genres, porn still sustains social stereotypes which is validated by consumers.
