There is a Biblical context to what is going on at this time. Before Armageddon, there is to be something called the Gog-Magog war, where those attacking Israel are hit so badly that it will take months to bury their dead. The Irony here is that, at that time, the leader who makes the defense pact with Israel will be the Antichrist, who will turn on Israel himself after 3 1/2 years. After taking into consideration what the Bible says about this man, and the nation he represents, there can be no doubt that the United States is the beast of Revelation, the harlot riding the beast is an apostate church which equates money with Godliness, and the Antichrist himself most likely a future president of the United States. The irony of Biblical prophecy is that the devil, in order to decieve many, purposely fullfills much of Biblical prophecy. God will fullfill the rest when his angel tells the fowl of the world to feast on the flesh of captains and kings.
