Seems that there's some bot or something similar gaming our polls. There are a few polls that instantly got 100+ votes, all for one option. An example is the DREAM Act thread poll. I just wanted to make the admins aware if they aren't already

Visitors can vote in the polls forum only.

This is to help entice new users to participate. Ask Tucker Case, it works. :)

Going to monitor this and see if it is a bot or a specific user(s) ...

It's true, at least with me.

The first time I was on this site, I went to the polls forum and I voted in a few polls before I signed up. Seeing the discussions that stemmed from the polls, I became interested in actualy becoming a part of those discussions.

The majority of my first posts at DP occurred in the polls section, including my very first post.

Even more evidence that we need to disallow visitors the ability to vote.:2razz:

Is it possible to suggest that visitors not be allowed to vote in polls?

I suggested this before in another thread and was basically told no, due to new users coming from interest in polls.
