Polish impudence (1 Viewer)

S

Smay

Those Poles try to get hung too much. Soon they’ll be imposing their will to whole Europe. Now they’ve occupied original German lands of East Pomerania and Silesia. My ancestry lived there. They would turn in their graves if they’d known that their descendant is forced to shiver in alien land in cold house. For gas had become too expensive. Moreover winter is coming. And regretfully I remember last one too well :( Now here in Germany we look forward to gas pipeline under the Baltic Sea. And here you are Poland interferes with its criticism again.
You see nobody asked such important and influential country as Poland before building this pipeline. So I heard they even laid down ultimatum in Kaczynski’s letter to Finnish President about preventing of Baltic gas pipeline building. We “had decided to go over the heads of Poland and the EU” you see. What an impudent self-importance! As if Poles were the only pebble on the European beach.
Isn’t time to come down hard on Poland? It had occupied our lands and attempt upon our gas pipeline threatening European energy security.

How is this original German land? Silesia went to Austria with the Bohemian crown and was kinda occupied by the Pruzzians later. Silesia is rather original Polish lands. East Pomerania changed owners different times through history, too.

Many of my ancestry lived in East Prussia, they originally came from France and many left East Prussia in the late twenties because of the economical situation there. The other managed to go to East Germany before the front lines reached East Prussia. This is history, we don't live in alien land now.

Well, I spent much of last winter in Switzerland, but I don't think, it was very cold in Germany last winter.

This is called business. Poland gets money for maintaining pipelines running through Poland. If pipelines run around Poland without them being in the consortium, that's not good for their business. So they want to be in it, maybe doing maintenance work with ships along their coast lines, if necessary. This is only reasonable and te German and Russian partners already signalized interest a few weeks ago.

Isn’t time to come down hard on Poland? It had occupied our lands and attempt upon our gas pipeline threatening European energy security.
They have not occupied one acre of our land and they could be good business partners with the pipeline.

Saying that Poland occupied German lands is very, very simplified. Lets keep in mind that Poland took these lands AFTER being occupied by Germany in WWII. More importantly, those lands were Polish BEFORE they were taken by Germany and Austria in the 1700's. It's not that simple.
