The more cynical amongst us predicted such police state tactics when the Boston event happened. With all of Boston 'locked down' in an effort to find 1 wounded and unarmed young man, this sort of behavior by the government is quite predictable.

The domestic enemies of constitutional governance are far more virulent than the foreign enemies.

the real problem is, when police does not take action and a bomb is detonated, the police will be crucified for not taking action. Whatever the police do they will always be criticized.
