(CNN)Police arrived "to a very chaotic scene, with victims and witnesses running everywhere" at a FedEx Ground facility near Indianapolis' main airport late Thursday night, where a former employee shot and killed eight people and wounded others, an Indianapolis police official told CNN.

Indianapolis police on Friday afternoon identified the gunman as 19-year-old Brandon Hole, who was last employed by FedEx in 2020, said Deputy Chief Craig McCartt.

The gunman took his own life and police didn't fire, McCartt said.

This can happen when you lose your temper.

As far as I can find, the MSM and police are refusing to release a photo of the shooter.

I figured it was another disgruntled/former employee type shooting. When someone targets a specific business like that, it is almost always the case that it is either disgruntled employee or disgruntled "customer", with the exceptions usually being something more personal, like someone's spouse or SO going off in a jealous rage or something.

"Hole", that sounds about right.

Just another day in america.
People have snapped like twigs because of COVID. Over a year of lockdowns, joblessness and fear has really screwed up the wiring in alot of peoples' attics.

These things happened long before Covid hit.

OK.
But that doesnt explain that this has been happening for decades in the Gun Nut Nayshun. It didn't just start. Matter of fact the mass shooting part of it was pretty quiet over most of the lockdown from what I recall.
Try again please.

It's been worse x10 over the last year. Look at last year's riots. $2 billion in damage & theft done. That is record-breaking.
Rioting continues into this year.
Some guy goes bonkers at massage parlors.
Some guy goes bonkers at a grocery store
Some guy loses it at a FedEx place.
Violent crime skyrockets around the country as lockdowns are easing.

The last year has been absolutely INSANE.

Sound like he had some issue before the whole covid thing really kicked in.

13 Investigates has learned Hole had a previous encounter with police during a mental health call in 2020. A behavioral unit was called to his home in March of 2020 on reports of a man voicing suicidal ideas. The unit encountered Hole, who had purchased a shotgun within 24 hours of the call.

The behavioral unit immediately detained him and took Hole to the hospital. Police also seized his gun at that time.

Paul Keenan, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Indianapolis field office, said Friday that agents questioned 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole after his mother called police to say that her son might commit “suicide by cop.” He says agents questioned Hole based on items found in his bedroom. He did not elaborate on what those items were. No crime was identified and the FBI says it did not identify Hole as espousing a racially motivated ideology.

Another failure of "the system" that will be used by statist authoritarians to denigrate rights and expand and enlarge the power of "the system" . . .

  • “In March 2020, the suspect’s mother contacted law enforcement to report he might try to commit “suicide by cop”. The suspect was placed on an immediate detention mental health temporary hold by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. A shotgun was seized at his residence. Based on items observed in the suspect’s bedroom at that time, he was interviewed by the FBI in April 2020. No Racially Motivated Violent Extremism (RMVE) ideology was identified during the course of the assessment and no criminal violation was found. The shotgun was not returned to the suspect.” -- FBI Indianapolis Special Agent in Charge Paul Keenan

Except he had these issues prior to the lockdown. And again, these things have happened before.

Correlation does not equal causation.
