The NV Governor's race may be over, but the investigation isnt. Looks like obstruction of justice charges might be added to the assault charges. Records of Gibbons, along with his political strategist have been subpoenad, as the police are now building a case against him. They are also calling witnessed to be reinterviewed, including Gibbons himself.

Article is here.

Actually there are 2 articles on the page. The second article is titled "Not in dispute: Phone calls took place".

One does wonder if you would have been so quick to report any (thus far unproven) incident of this nature, had the Governor elect been a democrat?
If I were asked that of you, I would have to say, I very much doubt it.
Sexual scandals abound, not just Democrats or GOP members, but it can and probably one day will happen to a Libertarian.

I was one of the first in this forum to point out Jefferson, and just tonight I posted a thread about Murtha's corruption.

And about your post as to whether or not it could happen to a Libertarian - If it did, I would be the first to call for his ouster.

About unproven? So far, but the fact that phone calls were made to the victim from the Governor elect's office HAS already been proven (the police have the records. On the surface, it appears that the Governor elect offered her a bribe to shut up, after she had filed charges. That is obstruction of justice. But lets give it some time to see if the allegations are true. Want to make a bet on the outcome?
