what do you think about this new bill the house and senate want to pass ...that the pledge of allegiance must be said at least once in the day ,everyday at school? is this to ensure patriotism? havent these people heard of lying...most of THEM do it all the time. i think this is rediculous.

what say you guys?

Mandatory patriotism is unpatriotic. The words will loose all meaning. The should always be spoken with complete understanding and pride.

But I guess some people will always vote to turn schools into cookie cutters.

WTF.

anti-flag burning, anti-gay marriage, and mandatory pledge of alliegance, with all else we have to worry about.

but get us a link jenny b

What? Do they not say the pledge in schools any more?

Anyways I do feel the house and senate should work on other chit...
Its funny how they ALWAYS pick the little crap.

Didn't the Flag Amendment already fail?

When you force kids to do something, guess what happens? They rebel against it. Forcing kids to say The Pledge will eventually lead to anti-pledge people.

Equal and opposite reactions.

I got no problem with it at all.

I do however think there are much more important issues to be tackling then this....

For gods sakes let the little **** go and work on something that actually might make a difference or help someone out

I don't think there should be some sort of amendment demanding the pledge be said everyday however that said I don't think there is a damn thing wrong with a public school principle starting every morning of the school day off with the pledge. There's nothing wrong with kids saying the pledge....I did it every morning myself when I was in school. I think it's a great tradition and I'll be sad when the liberals succeed in removing it from every school across the country.

Just as I don't support legally demanding the pledge be said every morning in every school I absolutely do not support any liberal anti-patriotic anti-god agenda to have the pledge outlawed in our schools.

You know another place that has mandatory pledges? Here's just a select but key few.
N. Korea and former U.S.S.R.

Election year, no one's going to dare to tackle anything big, they just want to do the little nits and bits that will make them seem more patriotic or moral. Thus the stupid flag burning amendment and gay marriage.

The problem I have with having kids say the pledge in school is that it is programming their vulnerable minds into something that they may not normally agree with. It is possibly removing their free choice because it was imbedded into their young minds. I see it as brainwashing.

Comon now. You know thats ridiculous. Up until very recently all children pretty much said the pledge of alliegence in school. Yet those same kids have grown up to have dissenting opinionsn on a variety of subjects. To even suggest what your suggesting is completely ludicrous. Virtually everyone say that it is a dumb idea had to say it in school. Exactly how did they gather this opposing view point with the obvious 12 years of brainwashing. Generation upon generation has said that pledge yet we still have protesters and anti-everything. If your child is brainwashed or programmed by this pledge then your child is an idiot. He should be shipped off to live in whatever camp we have for uberidiots, and the mother and father should be forbidden to procriate for fear of raising another idiot that might steal oxygen from the rest of us..........
