Mitch McConnell, during the GOP Convention, spoke that he and other senators have a bill in the works to construct the Keystone XL oil pipeline in the US. Republican Convention: Watch Mitch McConnell Speak

See, I don't quite understand if GOPs are for pipelines being built or not... Are they also for eminent domain? 'Cause land would also have to be forfeited to the US government to build these pipelines. Is some private company going to build the pipeline?

What matters is if Trump is for the Pipeline.

Wasn't this one of those issues where republicans had strategies planned out to oppose Obama, no matter what stance he took on the issue?

The pipeline prevents China from binding it'self to Canada. We don't really need the oil right now, but when we do we should by from Canada. If we don't they will sell it to China.

You so, "So what?"

Along comes more Chinese "deals" that squeeze out more American "deals", using our stolen technology on a cheaper job base.

Then there is the labor and materials aspect and the general economic benefits of economic activity.

missed opportunity. they should have traded the useless pipeline for another policy priority.

Those are questions sophisticated societies must be able to deal with, if they are to survive economically.
