Pills made from poop cure serious gut infections

Hold your nose and don't spit out your coffee: Doctors have found a way to put healthy people's poop into pills that can cure serious gut infections — a less yucky way to do "fecal transplants." Canadian researchers tried this on 27 patients and cured them all after strong antibiotics failed to help. It's a gross topic but a serious problem. Half a million Americans get Clostridium difficile, or C-diff, infections each year, and about 14,000 die. The germ causes nausea, cramping and diarrhea so bad it is often disabling. A very potent and pricey antibiotic can kill C-diff but also destroys good bacteria that live in the gut, leaving it more susceptible to future infections.

Science....ain't it great?

Some things just aren't worth it.

It's like that old joke where two friends go camping and one gets bit on the penis by a rattler. He tells his friend to run to the local ranger station to get help. When the fellow gets to the ranger station the ranger is laid up with a broken leg but says, "hey all you have to do is suck the poison out". The fellow dutifully runs back to his friend who is delighted by his return. The bite victim asks his friend, "what did the ranger say?" The friend replied, "you're going to die".

Eat **** and don't die?

Think I'll stick with yogurt and colloidal silver.

Hair of the log.

That's an old wives tale. We've been using it successfully for years on ourselves and pets. No blueness.

Just recently cured an infected eye on one of our hens. [she didn't turn blue either]

No, it's not. Old Jethro Kloss (Back to Eden) used to drink a glass of kerosene every week to keep his system clean and he claimed to be healthy as a horse. If you followed the second link the colloidal silver is precisely what turned him blue, and he's not near the only one. It is never a good idea to ingest metals, no matter what Art Bell and George Noury want to sell you.

Did you know that back before refrigeration, people would put a silver dollar in milk to keep it from spoiling? People have been using silver in various forms for 1000s of years.

I was skeptical at first but, given the results from using it and our dislike of the effects from ingesting antibiotics from a doctor [for a fee] . {BTW these days it's mostly steroids}, we're now firm believers in it's use.

BTW, if you ever have a bad burn and need medical help, guess what they give you to put on it? SILVER SULFADIAZINE - TOPICAL (Silvadene) side effects, medical uses, and drug interactions.
