Paris, France:The Daily Internet. Published February 28 2007.

Two paintings valued at 50 million Euros done by the legendary Pablo Picasso have been stolen from granddaughters house in Paris.

A portrait of the Picasso's daughter, Maya with Doll, and one of his second wife Jacqueline were taken on Monday night, police said.

According to police reports there was no sign of an attempted break in or forcible entry. This might point to a house maid, family friend, or anybody who has access to the home in the city's seventh arrondissement.

This is not the first time the Spanish painter's art work has been stolen. In 2003 his painting, "Poverty" was stolen along with the work of Van Gogh.

In 2004 another painting was stolen. Nature Morte a la Charlotte, a small Cubist work completed in 1924 valued a 3 million pounds.
