Very beneficial - they help channel all that extra energy that kids have pent up - the little foot twitches and finger flicks and little things that they do to occupy their active-selves.

All around I've heard it's very useful.

Its odd to me of course but if it helps Im a happy camper

Education for children is very important and if this teacher has found something that enhances that Im all for it. That person should get a few months off in the Summer! :)

How about treadmills or stationary bikes. Get ride of the overweight kids problem too. Yoga balls are probably cheaper though.

This would be a complete disaster in my class. Kids would be falling off of them intentionally and unintentionally, bouncing them, poking them with pencils.... ugh. Not all kids need to "fidget" all the time in school. For the ones who do, they already make wiggle cushions and hand fidgets for them to use.
