both are honorable men who have served their nation well
they deserve respect for their duty, not criticism for outcomes they were not responsible for producing

They served their government well, and of course in their brainwashed minds they served their country/nation. In reality Powell deceived the country and the world on the stage at the UN, even though he may have perceived that he was falling on his sword for the C-in-C.

The sad but very obvious truth is that our country is one entity, and its government is a separate entity.
