Compost and soil is a far cry from animal feces. And most organic farms don't use animal waste but instead use composted vegetable waste. I usually always pay a few extra bucks for organic. The difference in taste between a huge genetically grown, factory farmed tomato and an organic is vast. The taste of organic vegetables and the added nutrients is so much better than the rest I'd rather spend the extra bucks. Plus you get the added bonus of supporting farmers instead of corporations.

I try to be consistent with clothing as well. I NEVER purchase clothes by brand and always buy second-hand.
