We need some ****ing consistency with how Supreme Court justices are appointed. Like each present should get to appoint a justice and one justice retires or something.
Possibly, but there would have also been a heavily Republican congress blocking every nomination for anything. We'd also likely have a Republican president right now.

Well, there isn't any such change coming. Republicans have been very successful at stealing power. They did it with Bush in 2000, which gave us two radical right-wing Justices, they did it with the court with trump. Most likely is we have a corrupt stacked court for a long time. The only unlikely alternative I see is Democrats expanding the court, and that's not looking possible with Manchin opposing it, and mid-terms after that.

To be fair when was the last time someone using a weapon to stop/end a mass murder has stayed in the headlines for a week or more of news cycles. The only one I can remember recently was the one in the Texas church, but that was only a day or so before it was squashed. My local noon news stations predictably leads off with a story about a shooting were no one was injured and burry a story of a homeowner protecting themselves or stopping a crime after sports commercial break and just before the adopt a pet exit.
Maybe next time the democrats will take our warning and don't use the nuclear option, I won't hold my breath
Again that is not true. Hopefully the court will affirm the right of the state to put in place reasonable restrictions (courts, jails, city hall) but not open up such stupidi as a sta saying no carry at all in public.
Not going along with your wishes is not the same thing as a court being unreasonable. I am sure you know that even if you don’t want to recognize it.

Your so called right has killed thousands of people in this country and the need to show a need to concealed carry sounds reasonable. Even the right wing justice Scalia said that reasonable guns laws were constitutional. And if you do not think that the NRA or a friend will run the take the gun anywhere to the SCOTUS and they will rule in favor of take a gun anywhere, you have not been listening to this court. This court will do as they are told by the GOP.
