First of all, it isnt a vaccine. It wont end the pandemic. And if you dont keep up with the boosters, you are as unprotected as the unvaxxed. It is a shot that will minimize the symptoms of the person receiving the shot. And that is it. You claiming otherwise is either you being uneducated on the subject or outright lying.

The shots will lessen the symptoms if you get covid. But NOT because they strengthen your immune system so it can fight the virus better! Just the opposite. It weakens your immune system so it won't react as strongly to covid infection. Your symptoms will be less, but you will still have the virus, and it will be free to cause more damage.

We cannot control the world. But we can control who enters our borders. Airlines have already done that with requiring proof of vaccinations or negative covid tests. But if everyone in this country vaccinated, we could achieve a degree of herd immunity and some level of control over the pandemic. Unfortunately, many still refuse to vaccinate or take precautions. Many across the nation appear to be shrugging off the guidance.

The latest data shows that few of America's youngest have received a dose of the vaccine—and many adults are going without recommended booster shots. The same trends are playing out locally.

Here's an overview of who is getting vaccinated—and not.

Last week, the Kaiser Family Foundation reported that just over a month after their approval, vaccination rates among children under 5 seemingly has peaked at 2.8%. Since the most enthusiastic parents got their kids' shots, the average number of new doses administered nationally has started declining.

The slow uptake was predicted. Only 1 in 5 parents of children in this age group wanted to get their child vaccinated right away, according to a May poll by Kaiser Family Foundation. An updated poll released on Tuesday found that 4 in 10 parents for eligible children would "definitely not" vaccinate their child.

The uptick following the approval of the first pediatric vaccines played out differently for children 5 to 11. After vaccines were recommended for the older children in November 2021, about 30% of this age group nationwide is fully vaccinated, according to CDC data.

Adults also aren't rushing after booster shots, and the recent wave of the omicron variant BA.5 has seemingly done little to change attitudes. Through July 21, about 51.4% of U.S. residents 18 and older had received a booster. In recent months, vaccination rates have plateaued for all demographic groups, no matter whether they are going without first shots or boosters.

Immunity to a virus does not mean one cannot be infected by the virus. And breakthrough infections can still occur despite immunity, especially for more virulent viruses like Covid.

It is a corona virus that attacks the upper respiratory. That is a cold. Sorry but my doctor is the one who informed me it was a cold virus with a lot of hype attached to it. I asked why don't they say it is a cold virus. Because congress won't give you billions of dollars for a cold so you give it a fancy name and you get lots of money.
