Pentagon vs. Internet (1 Viewer)

Pentagon is creating new public relations division. It will control weblogs in the context of fight against “inaccurate statements” in mass media.
They lead United States straightly to fascist regime. Censorship in Internet is non-sense! This new Pentagon division will kill freedom of speech once and for all. That’s last straw.
Internet was the only resource of more or less truthful information about outrage US government does all over the world. How could world community become aware about crimes in Iraq and Guantanamo, and about real US loss in Iraq, and about US narco trade in Afghanistan, and about tortures in CIA secret prisons in Europe, and about dirty CIA methods in conducting US foreign policy, and many other nasty facts about our authorities.
They jump down our throat and sat that they provide our safety in such way! We pay them our money and they turn US into prison at our expense. Rumsfeld had fancied himself as new Goebbels imho. We don’t need such Big Censor in the rank of Secretary of Defence and with such original vision of our safety.
I think all bloggers should organize protest action in web. Let’s show them that there are many freethinking people in USA and that we won’t allow trampling our rights just for the hell of it.

Do you have a link with some specifics?

All I could find was this:

It seems their aim is to fight inaccuracy by putting out their own statements regualarly. I don't see anything about censorship and in fact if you have a problem with the pentagon putting out statements all the time than you are arguing that they should be censored which seems quite counter productive to me.

The idea of the Pentagon regulating any blogs (with the exception of those that have even the slightest intent to harm America's security) is just bonkers.

And the idea that "they lead United States straightly to fascist regime" is even more bonkers...
