So the minimum wage passes. OH there is an except. The territory of Somoa. The only place exempted. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what is on Somoa? StarKist Tuna. 75% of the people there work for them. How owns Star Kist? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Del Monte. Where is Del Monte located? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Pelosi's district.

"One of the biggest opponents of the federal minimum wage in Samoa is StarKist Tuna, which owns one of the two packing plants that together employ more than 5,000 Samoans, or nearly 75 percent of the island's work force. StarKist's parent company, Del Monte Corp., has headquarters in San Francisco, which is represented by Mrs. Pelosi. The other plant belongs to California-based Chicken of the Sea."

GOP hits Pelosi's 'hypocrisy' on wage bill - Nation/Politics - The Washington Times, America's Newspaper

One exemption in the bill. As the Dems always say, connect the dots.

As I said this is going to be hilarious watching the Dems reneg and play their constituents for the fools. And when the Republicans tried to bring this up on the floor, the Dems cut them off from speaking.

OK Dems/liberals let's see the defense. Will you call for a congressional investigation?

I think its hilarious to watch you displaced cons froth and foam and every outrage.

But not that the Dems are showing their true colors. How telling.

Iriemon: ditto.

Stinger, you coulda spelled it "hypocrazy." That would've been a nice touch.

It's not their place to. The republicans have been displaced and now it's their turn to rage and mouth-foam over every little suspicion. It's just desserts.

It's not their place to.

Why not if the connected dots point to a corporate deal? The Dems pledged to end corporate welfare based on the backs of the little guys. The Somoan's don't count?

And again, you didn't follow through with the rest of the post. When you do that, then get back to me, sport...

I'm asking about the Dems, why do you try to divert to the Republicans.

HEY EARTH TO JALLMAN, read the articles. The Republicans DID raise the issue the the Dems shut them down on the house floor and would not ALLOW any discussion.

So much for the bipartisanship the Dems promised.

Man you are losing this on every front.

Who wants to start a pool on how many thread Stinger will start over the next month bitching about the Dems? I say 42.

Obviously sarcasm escapes you even when it's pointed out twice. HEY EARTH TO STINGER, read a friggin post without being obtuse once in a while.

Man you have been a source of endless amusement these past few days.

You: "It's not their place to. The republicans have been displaced and now it's their turn to rage and mouth-foam over every little suspicion. It's just desserts."

Excuse me, where was the sarcasim? And where is your response to the fact that the Dems shut down any Republican discussion of the matter as you urged them to do? Hmmmmmmmmmmm?

Man you have been a source of endless amusement these past few days.

Oh believe me, not nearly as much as watching you guys try to defend this stuff.

I think its hilarious to watch you displaced cons froth and foam and every outrage.

Not nearly as much as watching you guys try to spin your way out of it.

I'm not defending anything as I helped vote in our new Republican governor and two republican senators. I am just commenting on the irony of politics and how the tables turn yet nothing changes. Maybe you would recognize irony if you didn't take yourself so seriously all the time.

But continue...it is amusing after all...
