Pelosi gets longshot progressive primary challenger | TheHill

San Francisco attorney Shahid Buttar on Friday will formally challenge Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in the Democratic primary for California's 12th District, further illustrating the divide between the establishment and progressive Democrats.

Buttar, who challenged Pelosi in 2018, will officially announce his 2020 bid after filing paperwork at San Francisco City Hall, hitting the candidate filing deadline.

I don't think this guy has much of a chance, supporting 'Medicare for All' and combatting mass incarceration and mass surveillance, citing Pelosi as siding with conservatives on those issues.
 
She can beat this guy back with the love in her heart. Well, love, and a subpoena of his financial records, a threat of a criminal investigation, and flat tires on all his campaign vehicles.
 
Don't forget the midnight death threat phone calls. The anti-Pelosi folks are expert at those.
 
Pelosi will be 80. I wouldn't rule him out

She also presided over a catastrophic loss in the house for the Democrats and is possibly going to have a repeat performance. She really has not been good for the democratic party.

California's 12th District and someone running to the left of Nancy. I doubt he's win, because I don't think he is willing to bend and compromise. Nancy, although many think she is woman enough to take on the big boys, has always struck me as more of a puppet who is doing someone else' bidding.
