This is not a good move. John Murtha is involved in the same culture of corruption that brought down the Republican party this election, and now the Democratic leadership wants to support him? If the Democrats do make him House leader, then they are showing that they support the status quo, not a new direction, and the Democrat victory may indeed be short-lived.

Article is here.

CREW list of targeted corrupt politicians here. Murtha is on the "five members to watch" list.

And please dont start talking about all the Republicans on the list. Everybody knows they are there, but so is Murtha, and that is what this topic is about.

Forgive me for finding it very difficult to believe this. Have any more sources to verify the validity there of?

Danman's right-on two other boards punchdrunkMurtha is being supported by the new Tweaker of the House. Murtha has one of the worst-not ready for prime time-public personas I have seen. Ugly, looks drunk, and acidic. Great choice for the GOP though

Next Dem choice may be Jefferson to head the Finance Committee. He has a bigger freezer than anyone else. LOL.

Actually, that was a joke. The only thing Jefferson may be heading is a prison detail (possibly).

I was referencing to Pelosi supporting Murtha as house leader. Because for everything that I have read, she's taking that position herself.

No she's taking the position of speaker of the house, there's a house speaker which is the top position of the entire congress and then there is the majority and minority leaders which are the heads of the individual parties within the congress.
