PC Tasered amputee, 92, in wheelchair, court hears

Yep, many US police seem to have this idea that the public must obey them without question and demand absolute obedience.

Uk police treat people very differently and they can't hide behind qualified immunity if things go badly as that doesn't exist here.
If a cop assaults you they get treated just like anyone else whereas in the US cops see assaulting people as standard procedure and can just claim the person was resisting and it's always the job of the person assaulted to prove it was unlawful.

It's bizarre that you have people who defend thye right of cops to act like thugs.

He used a full can of pepper spray, and a Taser, and a baton, to defend himself from a 92-year-old amputee with a urinary tract infection armed with a butter knife?

A knife which he'd already poked into a worker's stomach without doing any damage. Who the PC didn't talk to before rushing in. Because Monty Python has been discontinued and replaced by, The News.
