The guy who championed Trumps war on immigrants, the guy who did nothing to try to honestly solve the immigrant situation in the US, is now pushing to issue thousands of visas from...Ireland. Because his heritage is Irish.

I think we should have more Irish here (I’ve met quite a few illegal Irish in my day- they should get work visas), but I also think more Mexicans and Guatemalans and Hondurans would be good too.
Now let’s just imagine for a second if a brown or black departing congressperson decided to push a bill increasing immigrant visas from, say, Kenya, or Mexico.
