Russian Orthodox Church alleges gay pride parades were part of the reason for Ukraine war​

Thank you Patriarch for finally explaining what it is the Russians supposedly are liberating the Ukrainians from. Apparently it's Pride parades.

More than one religious leader here in the States has himself had more than a passing experience with gay relations.

The Russian orthodox Church is rabidly anti-LGBTQ and pro-Putin.

About three years ago the Ukrainians got the Orthodox Patriarch in Constantinople to declare the Ukrainian Orthodox Church independent.

Previously, it was subordinated to the Russian Orthodox Church.

So there was this situation where Russian Orthodox priests were spewing Kremlin propaganda during their Sunday sermons in Ukraine.

The war in the east was already going on, so the Ukrainians didn't appreciate hearing Russian propaganda in church every Sunday morning.
