Pastor said “God wanted” underage girl to be his spouse. So the church approved. The victims' family pressured church leaders to approve of the sexual abuse, saying that it was like Joseph and Mary, because Mary was also a child bride.

A former Pennsylvania youth pastor, Robert Fenton, is facing charges in connection with sexually abusing and assaulting a 14-year-old girl in the 1990s when he was a 26-year-old pastor.
Investigators say that he got permission from his church to sexually abuse her because he had a vision that told him that “God wanted the victim to be his spouse.”

That's good enough for me!

2:16

”If it was good for the prophet Daniel………..”

Great movie……WW2 propaganda

This is part where True Christians (tm) like Elora come in and say he must be a “false Christian” because God would never say such a thing.

Yet this is the same god that in the Bible told the Hebrews to stab the children of the Amalekites to death and to take the virginal girls “for themselves”.

This is just peculiar in more ways than one. How many years have gone by? Where else is this story presented? What kind of church believes Mary and Joseph had sex before marriage or until Jesus was born? Why would the girl's family want their daughter, sister, niece ---- to be sexually abused? Why is the 1651268022129.pnggetting involved? Something isn't Kosher.

If the Far Right wanted to worry about "groomers," they should start by cleaning out their own closets. Example, this guy.

That's disgusting.

Because, these are the same people that are accusing lgbtq as being groomers.

Of course, if you want to look at a government source.

That's cult-like behavior.

There's always a "wolf in sheep's clothing" somewhere in the church. Remember Jesus warned people about that, so you just confirmed one of Jesus' teachings. Good show!

And then there's the LGBTQ crowd who want to sexualize even younger children. You ok with that agenda??

Well, and then there is the larger point, which is that seizing on one atypical example--a creep from some little non-denom church nobody had ever heard of--as somehow representative is both illogical and grossly unfair. There are thousands and thousands of pastors and youth minister/staff who are decent and honorable people.

By the way, I tried to learn more about this pedo because I was curious about his credentials but found nothing except for the fact that he has been in Australia for many years. Very peculiar when you can't find out where someone was trained or what his ministerial background is.

The problem is that it's not as atypical as is claimed. From this to the FLDS, people use the authority they claim from the church to push underage marriage. In fact, in 2014, more than 240K girls 17 and under, some as young as 12, were married in the USA. It was only last year that NY made the earliest someone could get married 18, before then , girls as young as 14 could have gotten married with parents. In Texas, 7 out of a thousand girls 16 or under get married every year, and I have t owonder how much of that is religious pressure. (west virginia is the same). The numbers are dropping, but girls as young as 10 can and do get married with 'parental consent'. You know there is cultural and religious pressure in that. of course, it's no just Christian, but it's across many religions.

LGBTQ people are not sexualizing children. You are part of this problem if you agree with what this pastor was preaching.

One fact is that modern day Christianity has nothing to do with the actual teachings of Christ and thus is why we are seeing more and more of this crazy BS from them.

LGBTQ people are not sexualizing children.

Yes, they are.

You're right about that, in the respect that modern day liberalism's distortions of the teachings of Christ is nothing less than crazy bs.

Yes, they are.

Uh huh. Right. Not that it matters one bit, because what is taught to be 'The teachings of Christ' is nothing less that crazy bs, like you said.

More abuse in the hands of religion claiming "god wanted" whatever... in other shocking news, gravity is still working today.

These seem like fringe crank jobs, but what's not so fringe is that there are legislative efforts in a number of red-leaning states that are intended to debase the role of women in society. There seems to be a increasingly prevalent belief among the ultra religious right that women should basically be removed from the workplace and at home, confined to the kitchen and bedroom. The ultra-strict anti-abortion legislation laws are a reflection of this trend, as is the Tennessee law that defines marriage between a man and woman but conspicuously leaves out the age requirement. The ultra Christian right is becoming the American Taliban.

No, they are not.
Yes, they are.

Here's an example from one of Biden's gender-challenged nitwits.

"Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine, the highest-ranking transgender person in the U.S. government, claimed during a recent interview with NPR that "there is no argument" about "gender-affirming care" among pediatricians and doctors who specialize in adolescents....According to definitions laid out in a fact sheet from (NITWIT) Levine's Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in March, "gender-affirming care" includes social affirmation at any age, puberty blockers during puberty and hormone therapy starting during early adolescence. Irreversible surgery is "typically used in adulthood or case-by-case basis in adolescence," according to the agency."

That's nonsense. No evidence Levine ever did a full and impartial poll of pediatricians on that.

Later in the article, "Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo released a different fact sheet refuting the claims of the HHS (and Levine) regarding the treatment of minors with gender dysphoria. Citing a "lack of conclusive evidence, and the potential for long-term, irreversible effects," the Florida Department of Health advised against social transition, puberty blockers, hormones and surgery as treatment options for children and adolescents."

LOL. More like tip toeing through the bs with that turkey.

Uh huh. Right. Not that it matters one bit, because what is taught to be 'The teachings of Christ' is nothing less that crazy bs, like you said.
That's your twisted invention.

I've yet to meet a liberal who had their head screwed on right on just about anything. They don't even know which bathroom to use.
