Panic Buying in Kaliningrad as Lithuania Bans Rail Cargo From Russia

Russia has only committed 10% of its active forces to Ukraine. Probably less since it’s using conscripts. It has plenty of bandwidth to stomp Lithuania if it wants to.

That isn't even remotely accurate.

If Russia decides to "stomp" Lithuania, it'll be involving NATO since Lithuania is a member.

That NATO would actually honor that agreement is a big maybe. What we know about NATO is that they’ve been slow as molasses in January in terms of their response to Ukraine. And one wonders what tools Europe has left at its immediate disposals since they’ve been emptying their arsenals to gift Ukraine with stuff to throw away on its futile endeavor to fend off Russia.

This is the guy claiming Ukraine is winning in Kherson.

lmao

1) Putin will not invade Ukraine proper.

Which means they already have armor in Kiev, Russia’s paratroops have tanks, the crew jumps in the tanks, so they probably have armor securing the airport and reinforcements will be arriving by plane shortly

I see zero evidence that any Russian offensives have failed.

Not correct, the General Belgrano was 800 tons more in displacement

No, I am not in favor of cultural genocide against ethnic Russians. Unlike the Kiev government

Cultural genocide is not a thing. Cultures have to change when circumstances change

NATO would have plenty of time to rearm before Russia could try anything.

NATO includes many of the most productive and innovative nations on earth.

Russia is no match for the NATO alliance in a conventional setting.

PFFT!

If Russia invaded a NATO country and NATO responded militarily, we wouldn't need Javelins and Stingers and Harpoons. We'd be free to use our more powerful hardware: Fighter jets and Bombers. Any Russian invasion force striking a NATO country would be dust in a day...a week tops.

You have a lot more faith in them than I do. Those who participated in Iraq and Afghanistan couldn’t even defeat the mountain men and desert hordes. I don’t expect they’ll do well in a real war against a superpower. Keep in mind that Russia isn’t currently using its more advanced and powerful hardware in Ukraine either.

A superpower?!

That "superpower" can't even take on a country that has NO NAVY!

Russia seized Crimea without firing a shot. They’ve occupied 20% of Ukraine in just 3 months and are still gaining ground despite the collective effort of over 30 nations to stop them.

And yet they still couldn't take Kiev after 1 month.

Shorter supply lines. Makes it easier for them. But their control of that 20% won't last long. And the battles in that area are still costly to Russia in equipment and personnel.

Russia seized Crimea without firing a shot.

In 2014 Ukraine had 16,000 badly trained troops and a very bad military leadership.

2022 tells quite a different story. The NATO trained UAF has stymied the Russian "superpower" for 4 months now.

The flagship of Russia's Black Sea fleet - Moskva - lies on the bottom of the Black Sea.

And yet they still couldn't take Kiev after 1 month.
NATO was in Afghanistan for 20 years before throwing up its hands in defeat last year. They couldn’t handle randos with the least sophisticated homemade boom things there are. What makes you think they’d clobber Russia?

The US swept Iraq from the chess board in 1 month, 1 week and 4 days.

And there is ONE nation fighting Russia.

NATO was in Afghanistan for 20 years before throwing up its hands in defeat last year.

The Russians were in for just 9 years and took six times as many fatalities.

They couldn’t handle randos with the least sophisticated homemade boom things there are.

See above.

What makes you think they’d clobber Russia?

Because the Russians have thoroughly demonstrated they are no way shape or form the equivalent of NATO in skill-at-arms.

Your throwaway line about Russian technology is meaningless. Technology doesn't win wars, people do, and the people manning the Russian military have shown themselves to be frauds.

LOL. As opposed to who? The boobs who were running the circus in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Yeah; NATO operations in Afghanistan were far more sophisticated, well run, and organized than anything we've seen the Russians throw out.

Yeah, NATO's strategy in Afghanistan was piss poor. But the forces weren't, and unlike the Taliban the Russians can't retreat into Pakistan.

That’s what we said about the Chinese too. And the Vietnamese. And the Afghans. And the Iraqis. Hmm....I’m sensing a pattern.
