Only among the really ignorant ones. Igloos are a Canadian architectural phenomenon, not traditionally found in Alaska.
Carry on.
Before you go off quarter cocked and run your mouth about any of my friends being ignorant maybe you need to get informed.
The name igloo is derived from Inuit. The Inuits lived and traveled in what is now Alaska and Canada and they didn't know or care if they were in the future land of the Igloo Girl or Yukon.
Thanks to Al Gore you will have severe dificulty in finding any fossil evidence of Igloo since good ol Al's global warming will was your evidence down the drain so how are you going to prove that igloos were only built in Canada as you claim.

igloo [Inuit,=house]. The Eskimos traditionally had three types of houses. A summer house, which was basically a tent, a winter house, which was usually partially dug into the ground and covered with earth; and a snow or ice house. The latter was a dome-shaped dwelling constructed of blocks of snow placed in an ascending spiral with a low tunnel entrance. Although it can provide adequate protection for weeks in severe cold, it was used almost exclusively as a temporary shelter while traveling.

And where in all that do you see it stating that igloos are found in Alaska?
hey they were there but Al Gore melted them so go ask him he's not on my friends list

Oh I see. So nothing in that indicated that igloos are found in Alaska so you decided to talk about al gore. Understood, sir.

I don't have prove that they are or not found in Alaska the guys who are chalenging me have shown no proof that they aren't.
Really? Cuz she owns her house and the issue was that she used her stipend while living at home. Just like all the previous Alaskan governors. Please provide citations that point to any wrong-doing on her part.
And what she was paying back was some, not all, of the family travel expenses.

I'm very pleased that you are so well read. I'm also well read, plus I can ask some of my Inuit neighbors about such things. By the way the summer house was called, I believe, a "baraba," though it's difficult to transliterate some of the Native Alaskan languages into English.. . . ."The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition | 2008 | The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition. igloo [Inuit,=house].
I can understand that for me and you but we aren't governor's either. And previously, all the other first family's traveled with the governors at will and without question. And no, the fact that she repaid the money does not show questionable behavior; it shows a commitment to the reform she ran on.
But she's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. If she hadn't paid money, everyone would be all like "ZOMGWTFTHINKOFTHECHILDREN!!! She didn't pay one cent back" but since she did graciously reimburse the state everyone is still all "ZOMGWTFTHINKOFTHECHILDRENShepaidthemoneybackburnthewitch!!!"
It's disgusting and nothing short of absolute hysterics.
The Alaska Personnel Board found no wrongdoing, but Palin agreed to reimburse the state for trips found to be of questionable state interest. . . .
The board's investigator, Timothy Petumenos, said in his report that state rules give little guidance to determine ethical standards for travel by the governor's family. But he interpreted the law to require that the state pay only if the first family serves an important state interest. . . .
Palin charged the state more than $21,000 for her three daughters' commercial flights, including events where they weren't invited, and later ordered their expense forms amended to specify official state business.

OK, why does it matter that igloos come from Alaska or Canada? It was obviously a satire(igloo girl) and should be treated as such. What's next? ya'll demand the history backing to every little wise crack?
I'm very disappointed in you.
What a sexist thing to say coming from such a feminist. But I guess she just isn't the right kind of female to deserve a little respect from her peers. She doesn't have a coathanger hanging from her cooch with a dead fetus dangling from it, huh?
I can certainly see how those comments are insulting and perhaps unwarranted. But sexist?
Why not? Just because a woman made them?
Sexism is ingrained in our society. Even our women.
No, it's not because a woman made them. I'm just curious what is sexist about it. It's insulting, yes, but I honestly don't see what is sexist about insults.
Not bad thinking for a dim bulb like her. She must have good handlers besides great legs.
Denigrating a woman because she looks like a woman isn't sexist? That's news to me.
Implying that she doesn't think for herself because she's dumb...but damn she's got great legs!!!
Please. That was as close to the definition of sexism as you can get without telling her to get back in the kitchen and make us a pie.
Which part of the insult pertains to that? Maybe I'm just blind, but I honestly don't see it.
One could say the same thing about a guy if one were attracted to guys. That's not specific to women.
And even then it would be sexist. Just in reverse.
