Someone posted a video on the internet so it must be true.

Hysterical. The age of fake news and conspiracy theories.

I recall you repeating a whole load of fake news about the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Murtaja. The commentator in the videos comments about the disparity between how many Palestinian views/framing we see over how many Israeli views/framing is a valid point imo

Yeah, that would help.

What we have so far is hearsay of what somebody heard that somebody saw happening. Even Kulinski apparently can't make up his mind whether there was an arrest, an eviction or whatever else.

@Winston

As far as I can tell the poet and writer Mohammed El-Kurd was twice briefly detained and escorted out of the neighbourhood where he lives (Sheikh Jarrah) but I have not been able to find any evidence that he was arrested or taken into custody. In the first expulsion there was no camera to record his removal but in the second there was and it can be found on YouTube by searching his name. His sister likewise has been allegedly removed too by IDF soldiers for being outspoken about the pending forced evictions in Sheikh Jarrah. Freedom of speech does not apply to Palestinian Arabs in the Occupied Territories it seems.

Cheers and be well.

Like most everything in this world, including US politics, too much water has passed under the bridge. Truth is no longer objective. It's subjective. About the only thing we can be pretty sure about is history. Jews have occupied the ME for longer than Palestinians. Judaism has been around longer than Islam. Jehovah was before Allah. The conflict is not secular but religious. It's spiritual.

That’s why I asked for more information. I’m going to watch the videos supplied here and make up my mind. But, it doesn’t sound good if the summation in the Secular Talk video is accurate

This may be interesting to some.

Mohammed El-Kurd is featured in several of the video segments examined.

Once again , the commentator in the link you provide confirms my earlier point about how rare these honest depictions of the situation in I/P actually are here in the West.

Many western media outlets are that scared of the Zionist backlash for allowing such views to be aired it is just easier for them to limit/censor them.

Or they just dont give a shit

Oh no they give a shit imo and for the most part give a shit about how the decisions/policies of their own elites, who the MSM represents, are perceived by the readership. You know , manufacturing consent/filtering out inconvenient truthes etc etc

Thanks for that, seeing how it is certainly more informative (and appears to be more credible) than what Kulinski emits from what might as well be called a (his) blog.

I don't much share into the damnation of Western media to the point of accusing it of censoring itself to the point of not addressing evictions, Israel's settlement policy and, in that process, bending over backwards in pursuit of serving Israeli interests.

That said, I do not rely all that exclusively on what the US labels (its own) MSM, but prefer to peruse a mix of Spanish, French, German and (some times) British news as well.

As to everyone else being in Hasbara's pocket (often implied on here by those interested in exclusively blowing the Palliwood trumpet), the fact that el-Kurd was given opportunity to speak on CNN and NBC appears to somewhat deflate such a charge.

His arrest remains unconfirmed, that he was pushed (dragged) out of what may well be (it certainly looks a lot like it) Sheikh Jarrah appears to find coverage by this. but shows no arrest after "the push" or "drag".

It appears like the word “arrested” is a stretch. Detained yes.

The only thing we have any coverage of is that Mohammed el-Kurd was removed from Sheikh Jarrah. How "removed" equates to "arrested" or "detained" is something those with more creative imaginations than mine will have to work out.

I certainly will NOT.

They might even explain how somebody either arrested or detained has been managing to tweet all this time, last 9 minutes ago.

Bullshit!

The handful of Arab families who are being evicted from a handful of homes in East Jerusalem, are being evicted after a lengthy legal process in which there has been a multitude of appeals, all the way up the Israeli supreme court. Time to get rid of them.

Cool story bro

The notion that he was detained and the notion that it was for voicing political opinions is empty propaganda you have nothing to base on.

And the decision whether or not to submit eviction notes has not yet been made by the supreme court.

I'm sure they have made their decision, but they have elected to delay the announcment... which pretty much mean bye-bye Palestinian squatters.

There isn't any evidence of detainment either.

What other reason was there for his detainment?
Given what we know about the asymmetrical relationship between the Israeli government and the Palestinian people, I believe Occam’s Razor applies. He spoke out against the government and was punished.

how would you like it if US forces came to your home after you criticized the outcome of Obergefell v. Hodges and got any traction with your arguments?
