Opposition Candidate Tsikhanouskaya Leaves Belarus Amid Protests

It seems that when opposition candidate Ms. Tsikhanouskaya went to the offices of the Central Election Commission in Minsk to complain of election fraud, she was detained by the KGB security service. Svetlana Georgiyevna and some of her entourage were later deported to Lithuania. I am not sure where her 2 children are located. The Internet is still down in Belarus as is mobile phone service. I am glad that she is now safe, but regime repressions will now transpire against her political team and supporters.

Probably a good thing she left when she did. If not she might have gone missing!
Missing in Belarus is not a good thing! Especially when complaining about fraud by the government.

Police in Minsk just horrible! A... Never mind.

Believe it or not, Belarus still calls its security service the KGB.

That said, Minsk is the cleanest large city I've ever seen.
