This is the sort of ad that I like. Mixing in some humor and parody in with a serious message. (GO VOTE!!)

Of course, some people are going to take it way too seriously. How DARE those LIBERALS imply that Sarah Palin would declare war on everything!? Fearmongeeeeeerrrrs!!!

Oh well. The end is particularly hilarious when Wilde and Malco start arguing.

Funny...but it's a little more polarizing than I would like to see. Trying to motivate one's constituency to vote in greater numbers than one's opponents is a valid strategy but I feel like this doesnt do much to end the partisan bickering that tends to cause us so many problems.

I agree, but the unfortunate reality of partisan hyperbole is that it works. Slap the label "socialist" on something enough times, and a portion of the population is going to believe it, and that will be a lot more effective than saying "Well, we oppose the health care reform bill because we don't think the government should be able to regulate things like mandatory coverage items or lifetime payout limits." It's easier to call someone "Taliban Dan" than it is to say "Well, we think this guy has poor views on women's roles, because he works with organization X regularly and he also voted for this other bill that does this regarding women's health and this one tim-" Ooops. Too long for your 30 second TV spot.

Short, simple, and frightening. Being truthful isn't important.

We're doomed.

Simply because "everybody else does it" isnt sufficient justification for doing something.

If you want to effect real change, then do something different than what everyone else is doing.

"Everyone else does it" isn't the reason.

"It's easier and works better than telling the truth" is why everyone does it.

That's not really a good reason
