This is Canada's Top Ten List of America's Stupidity.

10) Only in America ... could politicians talk about the greed of the
rich at a $35,000.00 a plate campaign fund-raising event.

9) Only in America ... could people claim that the government still
discriminates against black Americans when they have a black
President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the
federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is
black.

8) Only in America ... could they have had the two people most responsible
for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (the head of the Treasury
Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means
Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of
higher taxes.

7) Only in America ... can they have terrorists kill people
in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by
fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.

6) Only in America ... would they make people who want to legally become American citizens
wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars
for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks
into the country illegally just 'magically' become American
citizens.

5) Only in America ... could the people who
believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the
country's Constitution be thought of as "extremists."

4) Only in America ... could you need to present a driver's license
to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

3) Only in America ... could people demand the government investigate whether
oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas
went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil
company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making
tennis shoes (Nike).

2) Only in America ... could the government collect more tax
dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history,
still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year - for
total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it
doesn't have nearly enough money.

1) Only in America ... could the rich people - who pay 86% of
all income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair
share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

Good to see the US isn't the only country afflicted by the plague of chain mail.

Are you sure that list is Canadian?

Because I didn't see any mention of healthcare.

Only in America are the people denied affordable health care.

Only in America are banks unregulated.

Only in America is obesity epidemic.

Only in America are minorities denied the right to vote.

Only in America is the military 50% of the budget.

Only in America do people live in irrational fear.

No we're not. We have tons of really good policies out there.

What the Left wants is "free" healthcare, which is just a scam to get more taxes.

I hear Rick Perry claiming to have a Turks and Caicos birth certificate. With any luck he could be Canada's Prime Minister soon.

See. Canada doesn't have affordable healthcare. they have universal healthcare. Obamacare is not universal healthcare. Not even close. it universal mandated insurance or pay the fine... and that is no universal healthcare.

Best guess would be that these weren't included because they are all false.:naughty

Okay. But you have to admit Canadian's can afford healthcare.

Only America doesn't have universal healthcare.

Only in America can the middle class go broke paying for health care.

Health care is a commodity, like food, clothing and shelter. In America we buy those, or receive them as charity.:peace

this exactly why so many people think Canada is a U.S. territory or protectorate ....

What the right wants is to keep letting the "uninsured" to go to emergencies rooms for "free" healthcare.

What the right wants is for the middleclass to go broke paying for healthcare.

Healthcare policies are very affordable, especially for "the middle class".

Just make a law requiring everyone to have a policy, and let them go get one, just like car insurance. No problem.

Yes, but the fact that Canadians can afford healthcare doesn't mean that the Affordable Care Act (obamacare) is any good. I just want to be clear on the difference.

It doesn't mean it isn't either. We could have universal healthcare but there seems to be an irrational resistence to it. So the best we can do is have private insurance exchanges.

Yes, until you have a heart attack or lose your job and really need it.

What makes you think either of those events causes me to lose coverage?

I didn't see any resistance to universal healthcare from people who know what the hell it means. I did see a lot of resistance for obamacare.

I saw a lot of FreedomWorks and Americans for Prosperity shout downs at townhalls so no one else could speak in favor of Obamacare or understand what it really is.

It's all over the internet. Just Google it. For you is the messenger more important than the message?:peace

The list was written by an American who got rich on Wall Street and now he wants to keep others from having a piece of the American pie.
